Thanks, Richard. "Crase" was probably a typo. "Senão" has its counterpart in Spanish. It seems rare in informal speech, and used more in formal or academic Spanish. I have had Brazilians insist that "senão" was never used in Portuguese. Well, it was never used in the Portuguese they spoke. LOL I suppose it is archaic and not in "fashion". I appreciate your time and input! |
