| Mensagem: | Well, it is simply very poor translations. Too literal, for the most part. I know from the experience of translating english poetry into portuguese that it is not possible to translate into a target language successfully unless one is a native-speaker of the target or near-native. We found that native-speakers of each language working together can do a good job of it. If it is a single person doing the job then a native-speaker of the target language who is very fluent in the original language is required. |
