I loosely would translate into "market de momentum" the concept brought to the table from mechanics. This guy explains concept well. Thanks for the article. Jim Collins’ analogy is also mentioned in the Slight Edge by Jeff Olson, which is about doing small steps each day that seem to do nothing at first but gradually develop momentum and make all the difference. Indeed, it´s anything that starts the process and it´s capable of keeping it moving, for example creativity, persevering on investing, not being discouraged by the lack of success in the first attempts etc. http://www.mcclainconcepts.com/blog/creating-marketing-flywheels/ http://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/2013/10/19/flywheel-effect-building-your-business-into-a-passive-income-machine/ Other comment there: It does seem that once you get some things going that you get more deals and they come in faster and easier and you are better equipped to deal with them. The old adage of "money attracts money'' now applied to "movement attracts movement." or a reversed version of "A rolling stone gathers no moss", that is, it´s good and advisable to get things moving. If you give the first step...you gain momentum some time. |
