Thanks PPaulo, I read the link you sent . It clear up a bit . I found that what is called in Portuguese Pronome Demostrativo ( aquele , aquela , este , esta , etc ) is called Demostrative Adjective or Demostrative pronoun in English , it depends on its function in the sentence . If it is modifying a noun , it is called demonstrative adjective . Ex this book is yours. But if it is substituting a noun or a sentence , it is called Demonstrative pronoun , like in What is that ? . I'll continue studying this subject to understand better. Have a nice week, Sabrina |
