I found more examples this way, in English and even in Portuguese, for example:

Obviously, it may be used (and found) and understood "operation", but I choose this one because of the higher probability and the fact that it deals with a number of operations, so in the singular it would get too much especific.
It was not a matter of wrong x right, but of a more usual, used in Management, I think. |
